远看朱丽叶,近看猪八戒。

Okay, I dunno what’s the direct translation for this, but I’m jus gonna blog about it anyway.

We were supposed to help in decorating the notice board in the school foyer, and we dawned upon this when we were putting up the stuffs. A lot of times, the things that we see from far tend to be perfect and flawless. Yet when we have a closer look at it, we realise that things are not as perfect as it you thought it was. For example, the notice board looks nice from far after all the decoration. However, when you view it at a shorter distance, you will realise all the scotch tape marks. These marks may be ugly but it holds the decoration, and hence you have to accept it.

This theory also applies to relationship between people. The person whom you deemed to be perfect may have his/her flaws afterall. Just get to know the person better, and you will realise that the person is not as perfect as you had thought. However, you have to accept it as all the flaws make up what the person is now. Everyone has flaws and nobody can be perfect, hence we can only try to accept it. This is especially important in new marriages when you realise that the difference in lifestyles between you and your partner, which you had not known initially.

The boards that we decorated in school =)

A few more days and I’ll be back in Singapore. I think it will take some time before I get use to the temperature back there. The temperature now in Taiwan is around 9 degree Celsius which is so much different from Singapore. And I’ve gained 2 kg and my diet plan has failed, as it is too cold to do even any exercises. So please dun be shocked when you see me back in Singapore. I promise that I’ll lose weight asap when I get back.
